I have 2 external monitors. Both attached (via HDMI) to a USB-C hub, which is then plugged into the HP Spectre. Both work great with no issues 99% off the time.
When I boot/reboot my laptop (keeping the lid closed), it starts up showing 3 displays attached to it. The 3rd one represents the laptop screen itself. The 3rd screen should not show up in display settings when the laptop is closed. The only way to get the 3rd screen to disappear is to, again, open the laptop, then re-close it. Once you do that, WIndows display settings will properly show only the 2 external monitors.
This is very frustrating, I have not found a wayto solve this. While I'm now on windows 11, this happened on Windows 10
