Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi Team, I had my laptop screen replacement happen on 08/10/2022. because my screen was  flickering.  now when I came home and checked the laptop, all the whites in the laptop appear yellowish, the bright vibrant colors that the original screen had is gone now. i also tried to solve this problem by calibrating the display and  also tried to update my drives also but it didn't help me to solve this and  my night light function didn't work at all it didn't turn on either.  How can this be? Is the replacement screen the same as the original screen? Please help me sort this problem out.

Hi @ewon,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I understand you are facing a display-related issue with your HP Notebook PC. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

To assist better:

While you respond to that I suggest you follow the below steps to change the night mode settings:

  1. Open the Settings app by pressing the Windows logo key + I on the keyboard.
  2. In the Settings app, select 'System'.
  3. On the System settings screen, select 'Display' in the left-hand column.
  4. On the right of the screen, click or tap the On/Off toggle switch underneath 'Night light'.

If that doesn't help, you may want to install all available windows updates, as a patch may have been released by Microsoft to resolve such issues, if there are no new updates available, please use the below steps to reinstall the graphics card drivers from the device manager:

Step 1: Use Windows + X and select device manager.

Step 2: look for display adapters, and right-click on the available display adapters, then select uninstall, when done, restart the computer.

Step 3: Update the graphics driver for your specific computer model.

For more information on updating drivers, please see the HP support document Downloading or Updating Software and Drivers for HP Computers.

Update the BIOS & Video card drivers to resolve this issue
