Laptop screen flickering when moving lid. Product Number: N5R47UA#ABA

I have a HP laptop. 

When I open it so I actually work with it, it flickers, turns complete white or black.

When pressing at the bottom of the screen, or when pressing the bezel at the bottom the screen is OK sometimes.

What could be the issue, how can i fix it? Is it software or hardware issue?

• Software does not cause flickering when you move the lid.
• Software does not cause changes when you press on the corners / middle / center of the hardware / screen.

It's likely a hardware issue.

How you fix it depends on the underlying cause  (reason for the problem / failure).

• Test at least the System Board and the Video

If no joy and / or the tests are inconclusive:

The problem might be a loose connection, a tiny crushed or mangled wire, or something similar.

The issue is perhaps something more sinister (harder to track down). 

Depending on your skill set, and whether the computer is under warranty, you might open the case and take a look.

I was facing same issue of flickering display. As my laptop was under warrenty , they replaced my laptop with new one.

Unfortunetly I do not have warranty. What is approximate cost for replacing this?
