So I have a HP Pavillion Notebook that has been having an issue with the screen. The issue with it is that there is a shade of white or blue on the bottom or left of the screen usually the right bottom that changes location every now and then between the two edges, it also sometime goes away. The colour is white on a dark background and blue on a light background. I have looked everywhere online to see if anyone has had this same issue but was not able to find anything. I would really appreciate it if someone could shed some light on the situation. Thanks

The issue has been around for over a year I believe, I don't know when it exactly started as for a long time I thought I was imagining it. It's only a year ago that I found out that the screen colour along the left and bottom edge where whiter or bluer than normal. I read through the article but none of the screen issues match what I have.

The problem is that I have what looks like a cloud that is an inch wide and half an inch long(the most common one) that is blueish if I open a white screen and whitish if I open a dark screen. The size of the cloud changes location, size and shape and is generaly only around the bottom and left edge. I have not been able to see any pattern in what causes it but until 5 months ago the laptop had to be turned on for about an hour before the colouring comes around.

I have also attached images of my screen showing the blueish colour on a white background, I couldn't take a picture where there was a dark background as the picture did not show it clearly. The blue/yellowish spot seen on the top of the picture is the issue and I have also marked where that colouring moves around.

I recommend you update the bios and the graphics driver from the below link and check whether that resolves the issue.

Hi, I have updated the BIOS and the graphics driver but the screen issue still presists. Moreover I booted the laptop to BIOS as mentioned but the shade was still apparent and made no difference.
