Hi, I use a windows 11 laptop [HP Laptop 15-dy1xxx], I have followed every single instruction in a video made by hp to solve the sudden extreme dimness of my laptop screen but none of them have solved the issue at hand.
The issue at hand is that my laptop screen is so dim that at first it seems nothing is running but when you hold up a flashlight you find out that it is actually running. Also, when you connect the laptop to the TV the screen gets displayed there. This all started when my laptop shutdown on its own and I'm guessing it was due to low battery so when I tried charging it and turning it on the madness began. I am not saying the shutdown most likely cause it, but the coincidence is too obvious not too be considered.
Yours Sincerely,
Dan.

I suggest that you check if the issue occurs on the BIOS screen by following the steps below.
1. Turn off the computer, press the power button, and then repeatedly press the Esc key until the Startup Menu opens.
2. Press F10 to enter the BIOS Setup Utility.
3. Check if the screen issue persists.
