Hi @Nirmit4_4,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
When your laptop screen is not displaying and the caps lock key is blinking, it typically indicates a hardware issue that needs attention. Here’s what you can do to diagnose and possibly resolve the issue:
1. Understand Caps Lock Blink Codes
Count the Blinks: The number of times the caps lock LED blinks between pauses can indicate specific error codes. For instance, two blinks followed by a pause and then repeating could mean a specific hardware issue.
Consult Laptop Manual: Look up the blink codes in your laptop’s manual or visit the manufacturer’s support website to understand what each code signifies.
2. Perform Hard Reset
Power Off: Completely shut down your laptop.
Disconnect Power: Remove the power adapter and any other external peripherals connected to the laptop.
Remove Battery (if removable): If your laptop has a removable battery, take it out.
Press and Hold Power Button: Press and hold the power button for about 30 seconds to drain any residual power.
Reconnect and Restart: Reinsert the battery (if removable), plug in the power adapter, and restart your laptop.
3. Check External Display
- Connect External Monitor: Use an external monitor and connect it to your laptop to see if it displays anything. This helps determine if the issue is with the laptop screen or something more internal.
4. Check Hardware Connections
Memory (RAM): If you are comfortable, reseat the RAM modules. Ensure they are properly inserted into their slots.
Storage Drive: Check if the storage drive (HDD or SSD) is properly connected.
Internal Components: If feasible, check other internal components like the CPU and GPU for any signs of damage or loose connections.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
