I tried to install all the update HP Support Assistant suggested, installed the lastest driver that provide in HP website and updated the window version to 1809. But those action just slightly improve, the screen  still randomly goes black and flashing. I just bought this laptop less than 5 days.

Welcome to the HP Support Community

Let's uninstall the graphics card from the device manager.

> Right-Click on the start button

> click device manager

> expand display adapters

> Then select the display drivers that are listed and right-click on it and uninstall the drivers.

Check the box that states delete the software for this device.

Now restart the computer and then update the Bios, Chipset and graphics card drivers on your PC either from our HP support website, using this link or download it using HP Support Assistant

Download and install HP support assistant on your PC. It should automatically download and install the latest updates and drivers for your PC.

Refer this link to know how to use HP support assistant.

I have installed all the update provided in HP support assistant. The screen flashing issue have been fixed.

However, the screen still randomly goes black few seconds and auto resume, but it have a big improvement. Currently it will happen every 1 to 2 days.

Do you have any suggestion that I can completely solve this problem? Because it is still quite annoying.

Thanks for you help.

Check if the issue persists on the BIOS page.

Follow the below steps to boot into BIOS page.

1. Turn on or restart the computer.
2. While the display is blank, press the f10 key to enter the BIOS settings menu.
