When moving the lid up or down the screen shows lines, flickers and turns black now and then. In given lid positions the images are stable. I suppose is the connector cable that has been bent too many times or the connection is loose..... Questions:
1) is my assumption correct?
2) where to get spare parts to replace it?
Thanks!!!

Yes, you can get new LCD screens. The ENVY touchscreens are expensive, though. Use HP Partsurfer to look up the HP Part #. I picked up a used FHD ENVY touchscreen about 8 months ago on ebay for considerably less than new. When it comes to touchscreens, be careful of Chinese knockoffs. Your clue is that the digitizers will say they aren't Pen compatible. If you don't have a touchscreen version, you might be able to just replace the LCD assuming there isn't a dummy glass glued to the LCD. If there is, you'll need the whole assembly as it is basically impossible to separate the two without damaging them.
