Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I had a faulty battery and hence had given it for replacement so have been using my laptop without battery since last 4 days, on charging. Everything was working fine till last night. Today when I started my laptop the display is upside down while my keyboard and touchpad aren't working. When I tilt the laptop towards me at 30o then the screen rotates back to normal and both the keyboard and touchpad are working. When I again keep it on the table it goes back to upside down with keyboard and touchpad not working. Please help me in solving this.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

Solution 1:

  1. Open Settings > System > Tablet Mode.
  2. Make sure that Make Windows more touch-friendly when using your device as a tablet is turned On.
  3. If you want, you can also change how your device will work when you automatically switch Tablet Mode on or off.

Solution 2:

  1. Hold down the ctrl and alt keys at the same time and then press the up arrow key while you are still holding down the ctrl + alt keys.
  2. Click the Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator icon in the system tray.
  3. Select Graphics Properties.
  4. Click on Display Settings.
  5. Check the box labelled Enable Rotation and then click Apply.
  6. Click OK to confirm the change.
  7. The rotation feature is now enabled.

Solution 3:

Go to Device Manager > System devices > Intel Integrated Sensor Solution and ensure that the driver is enabled.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
