So I bought this laptop few days ago. It is a gaming laptop so I use USB-mouse when gaming and touchpad other times chilling. I set the touchpad options via control panel - hardware and sound - mouse - ELAN clickpad, and checked the box where it says disable when USB -mouse connected.
It worked at the beginning just like a charm but then one time my battery died and computer shut down itself, after I rebooted the computer, my mousepad didn't work even I didn't have any USB devices connected. When I connected a USB-mouse it works normally and I unchecked the box at the settings the touchpad works too. But then I disconnect the mouse and check the box again, touchpad isn't working.
I have tried to update and remove the touchpad from the device manager, I set the default BIOS settings but didn't help.

Hey! Thank you for the reply trying to help. I tried all the driver updates but it wasn't due to them. It turned out that my logitech gaming mouse software made my computer think I had a usb device connected all the time. I unistalled the logitech software and the problem stopped 🙂

Hi Naikou,
Not too familiar with ELAN trackpad settings but have you tried to going into the ELAN control panel and resetting the device (or resetting to default settings)?
Also, try installing the drivers. I don't know why but there is a Synaptics driver for Windows v1709 on your product page. So after you uninstall the trackpad, try installing this driver:

Hope this helps,
