Left Hinge On my HP ENVY x360 is broken

I noticed earlier this week that the left hinge on my HP ENVY x360 was broken when I went to close the lid and felt a bit of resistance. When I went to check I noticed that I felt a bit of an unnatural bulge near the area of the display near the left hinge and that the display was slowly coming off near the left side. Thankfully I noticed this problem before I fully closed the lid because I'm afraid that if I go to close the lid fully, my display screen/monitor will get shattered.

It's hard to notice but in this picture, the display is slowly coming off the lid.

At 1st after noticing this problem, I decided to go and get a hinge replacement. But, after doing research, I saw that most hinge replacements cost approximately $300. I am a student and I need this computer to do almost all my assignments and I can't spend $300 dollars on fixing this laptop.

Also, I believe this to be a design flaw because I had seen multiple different posts where people had a similar issue to mine also in regards to a HP ENVY x360.

I hope that with this post HP could either repair my laptop or point me towards a place that could without it being too costly and difficult.

As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now. I would request you to contact our HP Support Engineers and should be able to sort this out. HP provides repair or service options for out of warranty products as well. Hence I encourage you to contact HP support for all warranty service options.
