Hello, I'm looking for a more recent driver from Synaptics other than the OEM 2012 one and a higher version than the Windows update one which is "19.0.12.98".

Synaptics PS/2 Port TouchPad

Hope this helps.

Hi @HalosisMist

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.

Driver Update Steps for Synaptics Touchpad:

Uninstall and Reinstall Drivers:

  • Open Device Manager.
  • Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
  • Right-click on the Synaptics PS/2 Port TouchPad and select Uninstall device.
  • After uninstalling, check for updates again in Windows Update. If no new drivers appear, you may need to wait for an updated release.

Check Windows Update: Ideally, your touchpad drivers should update automatically through Windows Update. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.

-Regards
