Who can tell me what HP USB-C dock I can use with my Pavilion 15t-cs000 CTO to drive two HDMI monitors and some USB ports? Is there a reference document I can access? I need a dock that will do the same job as the Dell D6000, described below. Some HP docks and third party docks will not perform the display driver function like the Dell unit.
For years I have used a Dell D6000 USB-C docking station with my HP Pavilion to drive 2 monitors and multiple USB ports. I had that dock because I used the same multi-monitor setup for my work computer (Dell) and my personal computer (HP). Worked fine.
Now I want to set up a work station in another location with two monitors, USB ports, etc. I will carry my laptop back and forth between stations.

Your machine is a CTO machine, it has ports which is similar with the following machine
Which has
- 1 HDMI;
- 1 headphone/microphone combo; 1 RJ-45;
- 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 (Data transfer only);
- 1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer Only)
It ONLY has 1 USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 (Data Transfer Only) port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to
- Charge your machine
- Connect to an external monitor with / without hub/dock/adapter
If you wish to have 2 or more external monitors (and notebook monitor - total 3), please enter your requirement on the following link and it will find for you few USB-A DisplayLink Certified options on market today including some HP products (you can select HP before Search)
