My HPP MP 1.51 is simply not working. I changed the battery, the Pen tip. I am not able to connect the Pen as a Blue Tooth Device.

Hi @myapolli

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with your MPP 1.51 Pen (likely referring to a Microsoft Pen Protocol (MPP) device), which is not working properly on your Windows 11 system. Since you’ve already replaced the battery and pen tip, but you're unable to connect it as a Bluetooth device, let’s go through some steps to troubleshoot and fix the issue.

Steps to Troubleshoot and Fix MPP 1.51 Pen Not Working on Windows 11

1. Ensure Bluetooth is Enabled and Working

Since you mentioned that the pen isn’t connecting as a Bluetooth device, first ensure that Bluetooth on your Windows 11 system is enabled and functioning properly.

Turn on Bluetooth:

  1. Go to Settings > Bluetooth & Devices.
  2. Ensure that Bluetooth is toggled on.

Check Bluetooth Settings:

  1. In Device Manager (press Windows + X > Device Manager), expand the Bluetooth section.
  2. Ensure there are no warning signs (yellow triangles) next to your Bluetooth adapter. If there is a problem, try updating or reinstalling the Bluetooth drivers.

Reconnect Bluetooth:

  1. On your computer, under Bluetooth & Devices, make sure the device is visible.
  2. Put the pen into pairing mode (consult the pen's manual for how to do this — usually by pressing and holding the Bluetooth button or similar).
  3. Check if the pen shows up in the Bluetooth devices list, and try connecting.

2. Check for Windows 11 Compatibility

Ensure that the MPP 1.51 Pen is compatible with Windows 11. The pen may require specific drivers or updates to work with newer versions of Windows.

  • Check for Updates:
    1. Go to Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates.
    2. If there’s an update for the pen or Bluetooth drivers, install it and restart your PC.
  • Install or Update Pen Drivers:
    1. Go to Device Manager and expand the Human Interface Devices section.
    2. If you see the pen listed there, right-click it and choose Update driver to ensure you have the latest driver installed.
    3. If it’s not listed, you may need to download and install drivers from the manufacturer’s website.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
