I can't seem to find any information about the different tips included with my MPP Tilt Pen 2.0. There are 2 extra tips included in the box labeled 2H and 2B, but there doesn't seem to be any information about what they are or how they differ from the tip that came installed in the pen.

Hi @nategrimm,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

The extra tips in your box are simply replacement nibs that change how the pen feels on the screen. They don’t alter the pen’s electronics or pressure performance.
Manufacturers label tip stiffness like “2H” and “2B” based on a hardness scale similar to pencil leads.

How 2H and 2B Feel

2H tip: Slightly firmer/harder feel. This tends to glide more smoothly with less resistance when you write or draw.
2B tip: Slightly softer feel. This gives a bit more feedback and resistance, closer to writing on textured paper.
• The tip that comes installed is usually the middle-of-the-road feel (like “HB”), giving a balanced smoothness and feedback for everyday use.

2H: Good if you prefer a smoother glide for note-taking or sketching fast lines.
2B: Better if you want more control or pressure feel for detailed drawing.

How to Swap Tips

Grip the current pen tip firmly.

Pull it straight out of the pen.

Align the new tip with the pen’s opening.

Gently push it in until it seats fully.

I hope this helps.
