I bought a week ago this HP Envy x360 15-fe0000nf 2-in-1 portable pc with its MPP2.0 Tilt Pen recommended among the accessories on the same page as the purchase of said pc .The pen can handle both pressure and tilt when I use it to draw but the stroke is often shaky or has frequent breaks . HP pen control does not appear to be compatible with this pc .I have searched for drivers and alternative solutions to the problem to no avail . Can you help me?

Hi @barnabadujo,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're experiencing issues with the MPP 2.0 Tilt Pen on your HP Envy x360 15-fe0000nf. The shakiness and breaks in the stroke could be caused by a few different factors, including driver issues, software conflicts, or incorrect settings. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
1. Update the Pen Drivers and Windows
- Update Windows: Ensure your system is up-to-date with the latest Windows 11 updates. Sometimes, specific drivers are included in these updates.
- Go to Settings > Windows Update and click Check for updates.
- Update Pen Drivers: Even though HP doesn't list a specific driver for the MPP 2.0 Tilt Pen, Windows usually provides the necessary drivers. You can try updating the drivers via Device Manager.
- Press Windows Key + X and select Device Manager.
- Find Human Interface Devices and look for a HID-compliant touch screen or Digital Pen entry.
- Right-click the device and select Update driver.
- If no updates are found, try uninstalling the device and rebooting your PC. Windows will reinstall the necessary drivers.
2. Calibrate the Pen
Sometimes, recalibrating the pen can help with erratic behavior.
- Go to Settings > Devices > Pen & Windows Ink.
- Check for any settings that might affect the pen's responsiveness, such as pressure sensitivity and tilt sensitivity.
3. Check Software Conflicts
If you're using drawing software (such as Photoshop, OneNote, or a similar app), ensure that the software is set up to work with your pen.
- Some apps may require specific settings for tilt or pressure sensitivity. Check for any options that could help with stabilization or pen behavior within the app.
4. Test in Different Apps
Test the pen in multiple apps (like Windows Ink Workspace, OneNote, or Paint 3D) to see if the issue persists across all of them. If the pen works fine in some apps and not others, the issue might be with the app you're using.
5. Pen Settings in Windows Ink
If the pen's control software isn't showing up, try adjusting settings directly in Windows.
- Go to Settings > Devices > Pen & Windows Ink.
- You should see options for configuring pressure sensitivity and tilt functionality.
6. HP Pen Control Software
Although you mentioned the HP Pen Control software is not showing up, make sure it's installed. If it isn't, try searching for HP Pen Control in the Microsoft Store or download it from the HP support page for your laptop.
7. Test on Another Device
If possible, try using the pen on another compatible device to see if the issue is specific to the laptop or the pen itself.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
