Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to help.
I understand that you have an HP Spectre X360 15-blOXX series laptop I read that there are phantom ghost touches on the screen. Not worry, I'll do my best to help you.
To provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Please let me know the exact laptop model no. This link will help you to find the model no: http://hp.care/2bygf7l
- Did any software changes or updates happen post which this issue may have started with the touchscreen?
Meanwhile, I did some research and suggest you to perform the following steps to fix this issue:
- Please download and install the firmware update for this touchscreen.
Also, run the hardware test on the touchscreen. The following steps will help;
-
Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
-
Turn on the computer and immediately press the F2 key repeatedly, about once every second.
-
The HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu is displayed.
- Select component tests.
- Please initiate a test on the Touch Screen - Quick interactive test to determine if the touch screen is functioning correctly. Click Touch Screen, then Run once.
If the touchscreen test fails then you may have to contact our HP phone support to explore the hardware repair options for the laptop.
I sincerely hope this fixes the issue. Let me know what happens. Cheers!
