Maximum output on HDMI

Hi

How do I establish the maximum output via my HDMI port for an extertnal monitor? (HP Pavilion Power - 15-cb012na)

I am so impressed with the 4k monitor on the laptop I would like to get an external monitor for use at base camp.

I was considering using a USB-C hub, but these seem to clip 4k at 30hz, does the HDMI port directly output a higher refresh rate? I would expect 60hz.

It is very difficult to find the detailed specs on the graphics.

HDMI v2.0 supporting up to 4096×2160 @ 60Hz

USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-C port (support data transfer, DisplayPort 1.2 out up to 4096×2304 (60Hz), HP Sleep & Charge)

Both output 4k @60Hz

Looks like 60hz is output via the USBC port too, so I need to find a decent hub now.
