i just bought an LG 24GQ50F-B 1080 165hz Monitor. The monitor manuals says that it is capable of 144hz on HDMI. I tried connecting it to my laptop which has a 3050 GPU and an Intel Iris XE as the main and the RTX for games. The LG in the settings is connected to the Intel the problem here is that 144hz does not show in the settings. I checked for up-to-date drivers and looked in the Intel graphics setting and it says that 1080 144hz is supported but it does not show it ?
The laptop has a 2.0 HDMI port
HP Pavilion Gaming 2022 (HP Pavilion Gaming 15-dk2000 Laptop PC )
I am also using a high-speed HDMI cable that supports 1080 144hz as is shown in the intel graphics 1080 144hz is supported

What is your HP Pavilion Gaming 15-dk2000 Laptop PC (2P1Z6AV) machine ? It could be one of the following machines
For example: HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-dk2035nm
It ONLY has HDMI 2.0 port. Depending on your HDMI cable you can get FHD at 144Hz. Now, please check your cable first, it must be HDMI 2.0 or above.
Regards.

I am using a high-speed HDMI cable but I don't know if it is 2.0 I probably think it is 1.4 so do you think that the HDMI cable is the problem? I also found on the internet that HDMI 1.4 can handle 1080 144hz. I found also some monitors do not allow 1080 144hz on 1.4 HDMI cables they only allow 1080 120hz i think that is my case.
