Product: HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-d5000 (4V9Y1AV)

Hi,

I am trying to connect external monitors through a docking station through the type-c port. It is not detecting the displays. When directly connected to hdmi port, the display is getting detected.

Please help.

The specs of your machine is

It has a hopeless  USB 3.2 Gen 1.0 Type-C port; 5 Gbps signaling rate (data transfer only; charging or external monitors not supported) port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to

  • Charge your machine,
  • Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter
