Having this screen scaling issue with my new omnibook ultra.  I have seen a post on this same issue in Mar 2025 on spectre laptops.  It also affects my icons.  You can change the scaling and it will correct.  But after you reboot it will change again and your cursor and some icons will change size.  

 

Trying to further isolate the problem, it only happens to me when I have a bluetooth mouse attached to my laptop.  If I uninstall my bluetooth mouse, this issue doesn't appear.  Once I attach a bluetooth mouse this large cursor issues appears.

 

HP please fix it as this seems to be an issue not corrected for 8 months or so and takes away from an otherwise good laptop.

Update with issue.  First theory of bluetooth mouse some how changing cursor size is wrong.  Problem came back.

 

Now I have changed the screen refresh rate from 120hz to 48hz.  So far after a few reboots issues has not returned.

Update 2.  I looked manually on HP website for updated bios and graphics driver update.  I noticed there was a bios and intel arc graphics update with revisions A/B with new release dates.  (note release numbers were the same as my current bios and drivers except a revision letter and date)

 

I installed manually and now seems to be all ok even reverting back to 120hz refresh rate on the display.

 

This brings me to an issue with HP Support Assistant app.  When you check on the app for software updates from my laptop it says NONE.  So problem is with the HP Support Assistant app to make sure latest updates show up here as this is a good app that makes updating HP software easy.  Please fix HP.
