Mouse Pointer Disappears

My mouse pointer works most of the time.   However, it frequently disappears.  I believe that this happens more often after using the touchscreen. 

It happens any time,  even from the login screen before I open any program.  It also happens mid-work while I'm on my browser.

The most common occurrence is after using the touch screen.   Restarting the computer fixes it.

How can I fix this?

I understand that mouse is not working.

Try updating the computer, this will install the latest updates -

Step 1 Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type, and open Windows Updates.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Step 2 Install updates using HP Support Assistant

1. In the search box, type, and open HP Support Assistant. 
2. Check for updates. 
3. If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.
