HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15-df0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello I am having issues with my HP Spectre X360. As said in the title, my  cursor will disappear at random, appearing at another point of my screen with the active pen cursor. This mouse trap occurs at a random time frame, sometimes not occuring for five minutes then once every couple of seconds.

Here are the measures I attempted to solve the problem:

Restarting the computer (No improvement)

HPSA driver update (No Improvement)

Using the bios touchscreen calibration tool (No improvement)

Manually Updating the HID Compliant Pen Driver (No Improvement)

Disabling the HID Compliant Pen Driver ( first with actual results, removed the mouse trap, but also disabled the active pen, worked for several months but the active pen is a feature I want to use)

I would at least like to know if there is something I missed.

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:
Hard Reset: Follow steps from the link: https://hp.care/2GnkMa8. (Refer to the removable and sealed battery)
BIOS default:(do not skip any troubleshooting steps even if you feel steps are repeating)

  1. Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
  2. Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
  3. On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
  4. Press F10 to Save and    Exit.
  5. Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?
  6. Follow the prompts to restart your computer.

Note: All of the batteries must be good for the pen to operate properly.

And, also you can check with a different pen or stylus in order to isolate the issue.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
