I have an HP Elitebook 840 G5 hooked up to a HP Thunderbolt Dock G2 along with 3 external monitors. I am wanting to be able to use my Elitebook laptop as a fourth monitor but I when I chose it in display menu and choose any display options one of my 3 external displays turn off. Is there a way that I can have my 3 external displays and my laptop display using the Thunderbolt Dock G2?

Manual of the 840 G5 does not say which version of its DP (host) 1.2 or 1.3. Please use page 20 of the following document to work this out

I do not use HP Thunderbolt Dock G2. I'm using HP USB-C G5 dock on my HP Elitbook 840 G5 machine now and from my tests the dock gave me 3 displays (4 including notebook screen) all FHD, I don't have higher resolution monitor to test.
I tested the HP USB-C G5 dock on my HP 840 G5, HP Omen 15, HP Envy 15ee and Dell Inspiron 13 with same result for displays.
Regards.
