My touchscreen on my HP Envy 13 has stopped working.

When I look at my device specifications it now says "No pen or touch input is available for this device" - touch screen magically disappeared.

According to the troubleshoot guides I should be updating drivers in Device Manager under Human Interface Devices - the only things I have are :

1) HID-compliant wireless radio controls

2) HP Wireless Button Driver.

No "HID Complaint Touch Screen" in the list. Only that two on the "Human Interface Devices"

I have done all things that I was told by HP support team. Nothing happened. Then I reset my OS "Windows 10 Pro", nothing helped me by doing this too...  😞

Any recommendations?

@Mahbub-Hossain,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

In order that I may provide you with an accurate solution, I will need a few more details.

  • When was the last time the computer was working fine?
  • Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer?

While you respond to that, I recommend you follow the steps in the below article and check whether the issue is resolved.

Dear Fossette,

Thank you so much for your kind attention.

Hope we will solv my problem. Let me tell you in details.

I bought my this device (HP Envy Notebook) from China on this last 18th Jan 2019. That time it was all ok. I wen to Bali, Indonesia on 20th Jan 2019, it was ok. 21st Jan I connected to internet, then something happened, I saw somw change but failed to get what changed. The things I got see changed is :there were 2 "Unknown Device" in the "Device Manager" at the bottom. they got disapear. I downloaded "TrendMicro Internet Sequrity" and installed it. While installing this, I saw my Touch Screen is not responding.

Few people (on HP support & Microsoft support) told me to update "HID Complaint TouchScreen" driver, but do not have any. Only two are listed in HID complaint device list:

1) HID complaint Wireless Radio control

2) HP wireless button Driver

I tried to see the hidden devices too, there also no Touchscreen. In the properties it shows "No Pen or Touch Input is available for this Display" in Pen & Touch.

PLEASE help me to solv this problem.

Will be waiting for your positive reply.
