Hi @Micahzoey,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If the touchscreen on your HP Pavilion x360 - 14m-cd0001dx stopped working after uninstalling the HID-compliant touch screen driver and it doesn't show up in the list when you try to update it, here are the steps to reinstall the driver.

Check Device Manager:

  • Press Windows + X, then select Device Manager.
  • Look under Human Interface Devices. If you see an entry for HID-compliant touch screen, right-click it and choose Update Driver. If you can't find it, proceed to the next steps.

Manually reinstall the touch screen driver:

  • Go to the HP Support website: HP Software and Driver Downloads.
  • Enter your laptop model (HP Pavilion x360 - 14m-cd0001dx) in the search bar.
  • Download the latest Touch Screen Driver or Windows HID-compliant touch screen driver for your operating system version.

Use Windows Update:

  • Sometimes, Windows can automatically detect the missing driver. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and check for updates.

Run the Windows Troubleshooter:

  • Press Windows + I to open Settings.
  • Go to Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters.
  • Select Hardware and Devices and follow the on-screen instructions to detect and fix any issues with the touchscreen.

Reset or Reinstall the driver:
If the above steps don't work, you can try reinstalling the driver from Device Manager:

  • In Device Manager, click Action > Scan for hardware changes. This can help Windows detect the missing touch screen driver.

After following these steps, your touchscreen should be detected again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
