The touch screen is unresponsive to touch. The HID touch screen driver in Device Manager is hidden. If I run the troubleshooter, the screen will sometimes be touch responsive, tho usually only transiently. If it is touch responsive, then closing the laptop without completely shutting down seems to trigger this.

Hi @dknc,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If the touch screen on your HP Spectre 360 is unresponsive, here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue.
- Clean the screen: Sometimes, the touch screen may not respond if it is dirty. Use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe the screen gently.
- Restart the computer: Restarting the computer can often solve many software-related issues. Press the power button to shut down the computer, wait for a few seconds, and then press the power button again to turn it on.
- Check for updates: Make sure your computer is up to date with the latest software updates. Go to the Settings app and check for updates.
- Disable and re-enable the touch screen: Go to Device Manager, locate the touch screen driver, right-click on it, and select "Disable." Wait for a few seconds, right-click on it again, and select "Enable."
- Calibrate the touch screen: If the touch screen is not calibrated properly, it may not respond to touch. Go to the Settings app, select "Devices," and then "Touchpad and touchscreen." Click on "Calibrate" and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Update touch screen driver: Go to Device Manager, locate the touch screen driver, right-click on it, and select "Update driver." Follow the on-screen instructions to update the driver.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
