@Leosmart00, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Touchpad Drivers!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
1. Update or Reinstall Touchpad Drivers
- Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
- If "Mice and other pointing devices" isn't listed, check under Human Interface Devices.
- Find Touchpad or HID-compliant mouse, right-click and select Update driver.
- If updating doesn't help, try right-clicking and selecting Uninstall device. Restart your laptop to reinstall the drivers automatically.
2. Run Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter
- Press Win + I to open Settings.
- Go to Update & Security.
- Select Troubleshoot from the left pane.
- Run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.
3. Check BIOS Settings
- Restart your laptop and enter BIOS/UEFI settings.
- Look for options related to the touchpad or internal pointing device.
- Ensure the touchpad is enabled.
- Save changes and restart.
4. Restore System
If the issue started recently, you could use System Restore to revert to a point when everything worked fine.
- Press Win + Q, type System Restore, and select Create a restore point.
- Follow the prompts to restore your system to an earlier date.
5. Check Hardware Connections
Sometimes, the touchpad or mouse might be physically disconnected.
- Shut down your laptop.
- Remove and reattach the battery (if removable).
- Ensure all connections are secure.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
