@awais6094, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Camera Issues on HP Spectre x360!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If your laptop camera is not working on the HP Spectre x360, here are a few steps you can follow to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
1. Check Camera Privacy Settings
- Camera Privacy Light: Make sure the camera privacy light is off. The light is on when the camera is off.
- If the light is on, turn off the camera using your camera settings or privacy switch on the laptop.
2. Update or Reinstall Camera Drivers
- Update drivers: Ensure your camera driver is up-to-date by visiting "Device Manager" and updating the camera driver.
- Reinstall drivers: Uninstall the camera driver from the Device Manager, and then reinstall it. You can download the latest drivers from the HP support website.
3. Use Windows Settings to Check the Camera
- Check permissions:
- Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera.
- Make sure that "Camera access for this device" is turned on.
- Also, ensure that apps you want to use with the camera have the permissions enabled.
4. Enable the Camera in BIOS Settings
- Enable camera: Sometimes the camera might be disabled in the BIOS. Restart your laptop and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings, then find the section related to onboard devices and make sure the camera is enabled.
5. Test the Camera in Different Applications
- Check different apps: Try using the camera in different applications to make sure the issue is not specific to one app.
6. Use the HP Support Assistant
- HP Support Assistant: Run the HP Support Assistant from the myHP app to diagnose and fix any hardware problems.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
