Pavilion 360

My pavilion 360 goes black out when plugged out and goes black out 30 minutes when plugged in, unless I turned it off and on before the screen comes back but it will repeat 30 minutes time.

1. Check Power Settings

  1. Control Panel: Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options.
  2. Change Plan Settings: Click on "Change plan settings" next to your selected power plan.
  3. Adjust Sleep Settings: Ensure that the settings for sleep and hibernation are set to "Never."
  4. Advanced Power Settings: Click on "Change advanced power settings." Check settings related to "Sleep," "USB settings," and "PCI Express" to ensure they are configured appropriately.

2. Update Drivers

  1. Device Manager: Right-click on the Start button and select "Device Manager."
  2. Display Adapters: Expand "Display adapters," right-click on your graphics driver, and select "Update driver."
  3. Power Management Drivers: Also, check for updates for chipset drivers and any other relevant power management drivers.

3. Check Battery Health

Battery Report: Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run the command:

This will generate a report that shows battery health and usage.

Inspect Battery: If the report indicates issues, you might need to consider replacing the battery.

 

4. Reset Power Configuration

  1. Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
  2. Type the following command and press Enter:This will reset all power plans to their default settings.

5. Check for Windows Updates

  1. Windows Settings: Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  2. Check for Updates: Ensure that your system is up to date.

6. Disable Fast Startup

  1. Control Panel: Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do.
  2. Change settings: Click on "Change settings that are currently unavailable."
  3. Uncheck Fast Startup: Save changes and restart the laptop.

7. Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Power Off: Turn off the laptop completely.
  2. Disconnect Power: Unplug the charger and remove the battery (if removable).
  3. Drain Residual Power: Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds.
  4. Reconnect Power: Reinstall the battery and plug in the charger, then try to power on the laptop
