Hi @kawaiicelyn,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the screen flickering issue on your laptop!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Update Display Drivers:

  • Confirm that your display drivers are up to date. You can check for updates through the Device Manager or by visiting HP’s official website to download the latest drivers for your model.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Ensure your Windows 11 is up to date, including optional updates that might include patches for graphics-related issues.

Adjust Display Settings:

  • Right-click on the desktop and select Display Settings.
  • Try adjusting the refresh rate setting. For most screens, it should be set to 60Hz.
  • Ensure that any scaling settings are set correctly and try toggling hardware acceleration settings in advanced graphics settings.

Safe Mode Testing:

  • Boot your laptop in Safe Mode and see if the flickering persists. If the issue is absent, it indicates a conflict with software drivers or third-party applications.

Check Connections:

  • Inspect cables and connections if you are using additional external monitors. Loose connections can cause flickering.

Monitor Task Manager:

  • While the flickering occurs, open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) to see if any particular app or process spikes in resource usage, which might indicate what's causing the interference.

I hope this helps.
