Hi @Öyküm,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your Victus By HP gaming laptop's webcam. The symbols you're seeing might provide some clues about the problem. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue.

Check Device Manager:

  • Right-click on the Start button and select "Device Manager."
  • Look for the "Imaging devices" category.
  • Locate your webcam, right-click on it, and choose "Update driver."

Restart Your Laptop:

  • Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve hardware and software glitches. Restart your laptop and check if the webcam starts working again.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Make sure your operating system is up to date. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.

Uninstall and Reinstall Webcam Driver:

  • In Device Manager, uninstall the webcam driver by right-clicking on it and selecting "Uninstall device." Afterward, restart your laptop, and Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.

Check Third-Party Applications:

  • If you have any third-party camera-related applications installed, they might be conflicting with the webcam. Try disabling or uninstalling them to see if it resolves the issue.

Run Windows Troubleshooter:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
  • Run the "Hardware and Devices" troubleshooter and see if it detects and fixes any issues.

Check for System Restore Points:

  • If the issue started recently, you might consider restoring your system to a point before the problem occurred. You can do this through the System Restore feature.

Update Webcam Drivers from HP's Website:

  • Visit HP's official website, navigate to the support section, and download the latest webcam drivers for your specific laptop model.

Perform a System File Check (SFC):

  • Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run the command sfc /scannow to check and repair corrupted system files.

Check for Physical Issues:

  • Ensure that there is no physical damage to the webcam or its connecting cables.

If none of these steps resolves the issue, it's possible that there could be a hardware problem with the webcam.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
