Hi Paul.

You helped me on a different (parallel) thread.

Yes, Hp didn't even 'support' the hv6/dv9 line foe Win 7.

But it's support ANYWAY is a huge benefit to it's user base and speaks volumes for how HP supports its users.

In my case, the CPU is clipping on most video tasks, few if any page-faults where there had to be a disk-access.

Thus, yup, lack of horsepower, but this notebook is what, 12-15 years old, about 5 OS's old and it's still doing an acceptable job!

IMHO, all I can say is thanks, all the way up.

I'lll be gifting this notebook early next week to the family.

I have a related question.

I what, if any, Windows 7 hp drivers, applications, other software should I obtain and where can I obtain it to make complete an HP Pavilion DV9320US, p/n RU972UA#ABA? I some of what I need turns out to be Windows Vista, then please point me to those. I would like to make a fresh install on this machine of Windows 7 Ultimate and then add whatever HP software to that I should add.

Based on my machine's model # & part #, what options does it have? (wifi?, etc)

Thanks very much for any help.

Tom
