Microsoft Windows 11

My new HP USB-C Dock G5 does not connect to my 2 Dell monitors, whilst my previous docking station Lenovo Thinkpad did; I already installed all available updates I could trace in the update section. Which action could work?

Probably your computer is NOT compatible with the HP USB-C G5 dock. What is your computer ?

Good evening,

thanks for your message, my laptop is a "Redmi Book Pro 15 2023".

Could you think of any solution to fix this ... ?

Kind Regards,

Firstly I have not heard that machine and can NOT get its full specs, specially USB-C ports. Only

My question: What are its REAL USB-C ports, do they support PD and Alt Mode otherwise it won't work with HP USB-C G5 dock. Please note: Not all USB-C ports are the same. If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (total 3), you can use

  • Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
  • Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as

                                     USB to HDMI Adapter

Regards.

Many thanks for your feedback Banhien, really appreciated.
I'm afraid at the long term I will have to look for another laptop in order to solve my problem. A bit to my disappointment as I hoped that the investment in a HP Docking would solve my problem (connecting as well my private laptop Redmi Book Pro as well my HP Elite laptop for teleworking ... )
