Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm following up on an earlier thread, where since the May window's update, my monitor output signal via the USB-C port no longer works. This works perfectly fine on another laptop (Dell), and I'm still able to get internet via the port, so it's not a hardware issue. On the last thread they said a driver would come out eventually for this issue. I'm following-up to see if there are any updates as to when we can expect to see this fix get released?

@peebz, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Request you to follow the below troubleshooting steps that should fix the issue.

  1. Update the HP Notebook System BIOS Update
  2. Intel® Driver & Support Assistant  the Intel High-Definition (HD) Graphics, drivers
  3. Windows Update.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thanks. I updated the bios. Got to the intel drivers, and they proposed 3, one for WIFI, one for blue tooth, and one for graphics. However I didn't download the graphics driver, because intel had a disclaimer saying that the driver was a generic driver and that it would overwrite the current OEM driver (which is custom). Intel said that they recommend sticking with the OEM driver.

My windows is all up to date, so unfortunately, I'm still at square one, with no monitor output through the USB-C port. Any other suggestions?

Thanks

We have done the basic troubleshooting as per the document and the notebook needs to checked taking remote access so that get to know it's a hardware or software issue.

I'd suggest you contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer or HP Chat Support Team.
