Hi, I have an HP Envy x360 15-cn0002la running windows 10 v1903. My computer has a synaptics SMBus ClickPad.
When I go to mouse settings, there isn't an option to reverse the 2 finger scrolling direction.
When I go to additional settings (mouse properties), I don't see the synaptics device settings tab where it usually has the options to change reverse scrolling.
I have tried to update the drivers but that didn't work. I also ran Windows update but nothing changing either.
I saw some solutions that were able to solve it using previous drivers but can't find them online. Other solutions worked by modifying the registry but I don't see the same options.
Can you help?

@lasanu Welcome to HP Forums Community!
To reverse the scrolling direction of your touchpad using the Settings app, use these steps:
- Open Settings.
- Click on Devices.
-
Click on Touchpad.
Important: The reverse scrolling option is only available for devices with a precision touchpad. If the option isn't available, you may still be able to change the scrolling behavior using the manufacturer software for the peripheral.
-
Under the "Scroll and zoom" section, use the drop-down menu to select the Down motion scrolls down option.
Once you complete the steps, using the scrolling up gestures on your touchpad will scroll pages in the downward direction for a more natural experience.

I have the same question, I assume my touchpad is precision because I've been able to reverse scroll for the past two years without any issues. Only this morning, after the most recent update last night, do I find not only my scrolling reversed but no options anymore to change it. The image above is the additional mouse settings; to the right of "hardware" there used to be a tab with "device settings" where I used to edit the reverse scrolling that has disappeared since last night's update. So I can only assume that this is a software issue as opposed to my not having the correct hardware. I've seen suggestions to change the registry key for the software of the touchpad driver itself but they did not explain how to do that; is this what you mean when you say "you may still be able to change the scrolling behavior using the manufacturer software for the peripheral?"
