Hi @GajananC,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Thanks for the details. The vertical line with yellow dots on your HP Pavilion 15-bc515tx screen could be caused by a few different things. Here's how to narrow it down:
1. Check if It’s a Display Hardware Issue
- Connect your laptop to an external monitor or TV using HDMI.
- If the line does NOT appear on the external display → it's likely a hardware issue with your laptop screen (e.g., damaged display panel or cable).
- If the line DOES appear on both screens → it's likely a GPU or driver issue.
2. Update or Reinstall Graphics Drivers
Since you're using Windows 11 and your laptop likely has NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 and Intel integrated graphics, do the following:
✅ Update Drivers:
- Open Device Manager
- Expand Display adapters
- Right-click both Intel and NVIDIA drivers → Update driver
Or download the latest drivers directly:
- I HP Pavilion 15-bc515tx Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support
- NVIDIA Driver Download
✅ Reinstall (if update doesn’t help):
- Uninstall both drivers from Device Manager.
- Restart your laptop.
- Windows will reinstall the default drivers automatically.
- Then install the latest versions manually.
3. Run HP Hardware Diagnostics
- Restart your laptop and press F2 repeatedly at startup.
- Run the Display Test and System Test.
- If the display test shows the line, it confirms a hardware issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care, and have an amazing day!
