I am facing the same problem with my laptop which is how omen 15 .I have tried all the possibilities which I found in the comments and I even restored the system to as per the steps mentioned. It didn't done a thing but previously in the occ I am unable to find the performance control option. Now I do, after doing the reset. Pls I am hoping that this problem can be resolved. Thank you

You can reinstall the Omen controller using the below links:
 

System Event Utility:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71716.exe


OMEN Command Center:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp70501-71000/sp70894.exe this should fix the issue,

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

  • Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
  • Have you tried to uninstall/reinstall the HP Omen Command Center?

Let's try these steps -


1) In the search box, type and open "Uninstall a Program". 
2) Look for OMEN Command Center. 
3) Right-click to uninstall. 
4) Restart the computer. 
5) Install the OMEN Command Center from this link.

Thank you so much for assisting me on this problem. I tried the same step as u said (installed the hp system utility driver and omen command center) of my model type from the HP support, it worked.
