I have tried everything I could find on this issue, just to see if it'd work I held down the menu button for 3 minutes and nothing happened. How do I deactivate osd lockout on this monitor?

Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand that you want to disable the OSD lock,I am glad to assist you.
The OSD lock can be enabled or disabled by pressing and holding the Menu button on the front panel for 10 seconds.
Keep me posted.
If this helps, please mark the public post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.
Cheers.
