HP Pavilion
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP Pavilion about 6 years old. I had to take into Office Depot for cleanup. Prior to that, I had my taskbar on the bottom with an up arrow that opened a balloon on the right side available to hide the icons of items that seem to be running in the background. Now all those icons  on the right side are always visible (HP Coolsense, B & O, Windows Security, Driver Support, Bluetooth Devices, HP Support Assistant, Etc.)

Is there any way to get the up arrow and balloon back so I don't have so many icons on the right side of the taskbar?

Thanks, Barb

Taskbar icons are configured and controlled in Windows.

There are many articles on the 'net on the subject of the Taskbar - many of these show how to access and configure the settings.

This article from How-to Geek explains how to manage the icons that show (or are set to "not show") in the Taskbar.

How to Customize the Taskbar in Windows 10

Scroll down to section Hide Application Icons in the Notification Area

To get started, Right-Click in the Taskbar area and select "Taskbar settings"

In so much that I am aware, at least the Taskbar basics should work in both older and new computers running the latest versions of Windows.  There might be exceptions - for example, if your system was "upgraded" as opposed to having installed a clean version of Windows 10, there might be certain icons that do not work / show as expected.  ?
