My laptop is overheating and taking a long time to start up. I used to solve this problem with the "Intelligence Undervolt" option in the Omen Gaming Hub program, but now that option is not visible in the program and it is asking me to do it manually. As a result, my problem persists. Additionally, I downloaded the F47 RevA BIOS version from your website, but I am not very satisfied. Where can I find the F48 update?

Hi @Serjez,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Overheating and slow startup issues on your OMEN 17.3-inch Gaming Laptop can be frustrating, especially if the tools you previously used to manage these problems are no longer available or effective. Here are some steps to help you address the overheating and optimization issues, as well as guidance on finding the BIOS update:
1. Check for BIOS Updates
F48 BIOS Update: To find the latest BIOS update for your laptop, visit the official HP Support website:
- Go to HP Support.
- Enter your laptop model, OMEN 17-ck0000 (2Y4A9AV), in the search bar.
- Navigate to the “Software and Drivers” section.
- Check under the “BIOS” category for the F48 update. If it’s available, download and install it by following the instructions provided.
2. OMEN Gaming Hub Features
If the "Intelligence Undervolt" option is missing, it could be due to a recent update or BIOS configuration:
- Update OMEN Gaming Hub: Ensure you have the latest version of the OMEN Gaming Hub. Sometimes, features may be temporarily unavailable due to updates.
- Reinstall OMEN Gaming Hub: If updating doesn’t work, try reinstalling the OMEN Gaming Hub software. This can sometimes restore missing features.
3. Optimizing Your Laptop for Better Performance
- Clean Dust and Improve Ventilation: Overheating can be caused by dust buildup in the cooling system. Regularly clean the vents and ensure proper airflow around your laptop.
- Use a Cooling Pad: A cooling pad can help reduce temperatures by improving airflow around your laptop.
- Adjust Power Settings: In the Windows settings, you can adjust the power plan to “High Performance” or “Balanced” depending on your needs. Lowering the maximum CPU usage can also help reduce heat.
- Disable Startup Programs: To speed up your startup, disable unnecessary programs from starting with Windows. You can do this via Task Manager under the “Startup” tab.
