Pavilion x360 convertible 14-cd1xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have attached a second screen to my laptop using the HDMI port. I would now like to add a second external screen.

How do I do this?

I think I've discovered that there's no point getting a USB C to HDMI adaptor because the USB C port wouldn't facilitate a screen anyway.

Can I get a USB to HDMI adaptor and do it through a USB port?

Or can I get something that will give me two HDMI ports from the one on the laptop and do it that way?

Any advice on how I can create a 3 screen set-up using this laptop would be fab.

Thanks for your help.

Very hard for me to answer your question when I don't know what is your Pavilion x360 convertible 14-cd1xxx ?! Anyway, it should have same ports as the following machine

The USB-C port does not support video out, only HDMI port.  If you wish to have 2 or more external monitors (and notebook monitor - total 3), please enter your requirement on the following link and it will find for you few USB-A DisplayLink Certified options on market today including some HP products (you can select HP before Search)

Hi Thank you for your reply.

Sorry re. model number, I have checked again, it is Pavilion x360 convertible 14-cd1004na.

So I think I understand, from what you have written that I just need an adaptor from USB A to HMDI/ VGA/ DisplayPort etc? And I just plug into my usb port and my third screen and off I go?

For example this one: https://smile.amazon.co.uk/BENFEI-Adapter-1080P-Female-Converter/dp/B085KX97QG/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchil...

Thank you

When you say same deal, could you expand a little as I don't really understand the option above. Is it possible to use the adaptor I included a link with in my last message ? Is it as simple as a usb to whatever screen lead I need? Or is there a specific need for an expensive hub?

Thanks

To assist anyone looking to solve the same problem. A cheap USB to VGA adaptor worked just fine. I linked one from amazon above but as generic I'm sure any would do, no need for an expensive hub. So in total I have one screen plugged into the HDMI port on my laptop and a second plugged into the USB port using an adaptor so I can use them both plus my laptop screen so in total 3 screen set up 🙂
