I have using pavilion x360 for past 5 years. All these years laptop working very fine. Recently my laptop got bios updated automatically. After that display getting line horizontally. It's increased day by day. I not even put my laptop on floor it's always on table with wireless mouse and keyboard. I suspect that cause of line is due to latest update. I have a lot of work in my laptop so HP need to provide support and help me to sort out this.

Hello @SumanAppu
It’s understandable to be concerned, especially since the display issue appeared right after a BIOS update. A horizontal line that worsens over time is usually caused by a hardware issue (display panel or cable), not by BIOS changes — but the timing can definitely make it feel connected. Please try the following to validate the issue:

  1. Connect an external monitor- Observe if the line appears on it as well.
  2. Restart your laptop and keep tapping the Esc button, observe if the line appears in this menu.

If either of the above still show the line, the cause of the problem is a failing LCD panel and will require a replacement. Hope this helps!

I am an HP Employee. Although I am speaking for myself and not for HP.
