Pen not writing properly

I just recently got a new 2 in 1 laptop from hp, and the first time I used the pen I ran into a problem. First of all I charged the pen to full so that wasn't an issue to begin with. I opened up OneNote to try it out. The moment I got to writing random straight lines would randomly shoot out the letters or whatever line I made and it was annoying because my letters had random lines shooting out of them even though I did not do that at all. Other times the letters or lines would just randomly become crooked literally one second after I made the line.

What is your pen ? Are they compatible ?  Your machine is compatible with the following pen (as shown on page 20 of the manual)

                Tilt G1 pen in natural silver finish (includes cable) part # N44378-001

The pen came with the laptop so im pretty sure its compatible.
