Hi @Yupsonu,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If the marks on your HP laptop screen are not coming off with a standard screen cleaning solution, it's important to identify the nature of the marks. Here are a few steps to address the issue.
Check the Type of Marks:
- Stains or Smudges: Sometimes oils or dirt may leave marks that are more resistant to basic cleaning.
- Scratches: If the marks are actually scratches or physical damage, cleaning won't help, and other methods may be needed.
- Burn-in or Ghosting: For OLED or similar displays, persistent images or ghosting might appear, which is a display issue and not dirt.
Try a Gentle Cleaning Method:
- Microfiber Cloth: Use a clean, dry microfiber cloth. Sometimes moisture can cause streaks, so a dry polish might help.
- Distilled Water + Isopropyl Alcohol (70%): Mix equal parts distilled water and isopropyl alcohol in a spray bottle. Lightly dampen a microfiber cloth and gently wipe the screen.
- Screen-safe Gel Cleaner: If regular screen cleaners aren't effective, consider using a screen-safe gel cleaner for tougher stains.
Address Possible Scratch Marks:
- Petroleum Jelly (Vaseline): Apply a very small amount of petroleum jelly to a scratch and gently rub it in with a soft cloth. This can fill small scratches and make them less noticeable.
- Scratch Repair Kits: Some kits designed for mobile phone screens might work for minor laptop screen scratches.
Dealing with Persistent Ghosting or Burn-in (if applicable):
- Pixel Refresher or JScreenFix: For ghosting or burn-in issues, consider using a pixel refresher tool or JScreenFix software (for dead pixels). These methods won't help with physical marks, but can address screen issues.
Make sure to avoid using harsh chemicals, as they can damage the screen.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
