Hi @tj423,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
I understand you want to connect the Victus with the Acer monitor using a DisplayPort to USB-C and want to know about it.
Please use a USB Type-C connector, providing DisplayPort output. You can get from any store in your region, or let us know so we can try to find and get more help.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hello Vikram the great,
Thank you for your post. about a standard USB-C cable to connect my HP to the monitor.
I did just that and found the PC and the monitor did not detect the cable and the monitor went to sleep. The cable type I tried was Boreguse RuhZa USB C to DisplayPort Cable 8K@60Hz,30Hz,4K 144Hz 120Hz Thunderbolt3 to Displayport Cable,USB Type C to DP Cable Thunderbolt3 Compatible bought from Amazon.
If you think some other type of USB C cable will be useful please let me know.
I of course thank you once again for trying to help me.
Cheers and all the best. tjjohn

Hi @tj423,
Thank you for reaching back. Please never share your Pc or personal details on Public, so we request you to reach out via private message.
Thank you for letting me know that the Pc can work via HDMI.
Related to the Pc, if you want to use only via display port you can try the HP USB-C to DisplayPort Adapter G2, from our HP website, or we can help you to purchase.
Let me know so we can get all the help.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hello VikramTheGreat,
This is further to my quick reply yesterday. I have seen the HP website and will soon order the cable. I will let you know when it works.
I would however like to know two matters before I place the order.
1. The website I saw was in the US. I live in India and wonder whether I could get it on any Indian website. Does HP have a website in India?
2. As you may know I have only one USBC port on my laptop and if I use it for DP I may not have another port to download images at high speed which I do sometimes. Can I use a USBC hub for additional outputs? Will the power from the laptop Cport drive the DPport and other loads? Does the hub need to be separately powered?
Can I get these on the HP website? Kindly suggest a USBC hub for my application.
Thank you for all the help

Hi @tj423,
Thank you for reaching back. Since your product appears to be a USA model, could you please confirm where it was purchased? This helps us ensure regional compatibility and support, as certain accessories and support options may differ by region.
In response to your questions:
Yes, HP does have a dedicated website for India: https://www.hp.com/in-en
You can check for genuine HP accessories and availability in India.
USB-C Hub Usage:
Yes, you can use a USB-C hub to add additional ports such as USB-A for file transfer and power pass-through. However, it can't be used for connecting a monitor as USB-Hubs are not tested on the device and it may or may to work
To find more details request that you please reach us via a private message to help you better.

Hi @tj423,
Yes, the adapter you found on Amazon India. HP USB-C to DP Adapter (Model: N9K78AA) is suitable for your use case.
It is an official HP product, compatible with most HP laptops that support DisplayPort over USB-C.
You asked if you can use a USB-C hub to get multiple outputs and connect your monitor:
Short answer: Yes, but it has to be a powered USB-C hub or dock with DisplayPort Alt Mode support and Power Delivery passthrough.
I hope this helps.
I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍✨
Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀
