Hi all,

 

I've recently bought a HP Envy and my camera resolution is disappointingly unclear and keeps flickering. I have tried to get support from HP but have not had a response.

 

Has anyone else had the same problem and have any suggestions on how I could resolve this?

Or what is the best way to get in touch with HP?

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues with the webcam video quality.

 

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

 

What is the product number of your computer?

 

Meanwhile, I recommend you follow the below steps to reach the support team.

 

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

 

For the video quality issue, follow the below steps and check if it helps.

 

  • Make sure your video recording environment has good lighting.
  • Change the image quality, brightness, contrast, and other adjustments in the webcam software.

To resolve problems with choppy playback, take the following actions:

  • Reduce the size of the video image in the webcam software.
  • Use a high-speed internet connection.
  • Do not use other high-speed USB devices while using the webcam.

Thanks you for providing the link to the support team, I will try that now.

 

I have tried changing the settings and brightness etc but it still doesn't seem to be particularly good definition and the flickering is still there.  Are there optimum settings? Could you walk me through the steps?

 

This seems to be the case in natural day light as well as when the household lights are on. And I'm confident it isn't an issue with my internet connection.
