Hi @VSharma1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I’m sorry you’re going through this; I understand the concern and don’t worry I’ll help you with this.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

  1.  Did the camera ever work after the Windows 11 update, or did it stop immediately?
  2. Do you see any error codes or warning symbols in Device Manager next to the camera entry?
  3. Have you tried checking Windows privacy settings to ensure apps are allowed to access the camera?

In the meantime, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

  1. Check Camera Privacy Settings:
    • Go to Settings → Privacy & security → Camera
    • Make sure access for apps and the system is enabled.
  2. Run the Windows Hardware Troubleshooter:
    • Press Win + I → System → Troubleshoot → Other troubleshooters → Camera and run it.
  3. Check Device Manager:
    • Open Device Manager, expand Cameras (or “Imaging devices”)
    • If nothing is listed, try View → Show hidden devices
    • If the camera appears with a warning icon, right-click → Update driver → Search automatically
  4. Roll Back or Update Drivers:
    • Sometimes Windows Update installs incompatible drivers.
    • In Device Manager, right-click your camera → Properties → Driver → Roll Back Driver if available.
    • Or download the latest driver from HP’s support site for your Pavilion 15 EG1053cl.
  5. Check BIOS/UEFI:
    • Some updates can disable the camera at the firmware level. Restart your laptop and enter BIOS (usually F10 on HP) → check if the camera is enabled.

I hope this helps

I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster!
