Hi @ankurmanand,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Notebook is powering on but not displaying anything on the screen, and you're seeing blinking indicator lights, particularly the caps lock light, it could indicate a hardware or system issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem.
- Hard Reset: Sometimes, a hard reset can resolve power-related issues. To do this, disconnect the power adapter, remove the battery (if removable), and hold down the power button for about 15-20 seconds. Then reconnect the power adapter (but not the battery) and try turning on the laptop again.
- Check Display Connections: Ensure that the display cable is securely connected to both the laptop and the display panel. If it's loose or disconnected, this could result in a blank screen.
- External Monitor: Connect an external monitor to your laptop to see if the issue lies with the laptop's display or with the system itself. If the external monitor displays an image, then the problem likely lies with the laptop's display hardware.
- Memory (RAM) Reset: If the RAM is not properly seated, it can cause issues with the display. Try reseating the RAM modules by removing them and then placing them back securely.
- BIOS Reset: Resetting the BIOS settings to default might help resolve any configuration-related issues. This can typically be done by accessing the BIOS/UEFI setup utility during boot (usually by pressing a specific key, such as F2 or Del) and selecting the option to reset to default settings.
- Hardware Diagnostics: HP laptops often have built-in hardware diagnostic tools that can help identify any underlying hardware issues. You can usually access these tools by pressing a specific key during startup (often F2 or F12) to enter the diagnostics menu.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
