Hi Sir,
I've recently bought this HP Victus S0040ax (Love the machine) and having problem connecting it to a Dell e2014hf external monitor via HDMI to DVI-D cable. the monitor dont receive any signal. running win11.
My previous 8yrs old laptop was Lenovo Ideapad 310 and was connected to the very same Dell e2014hf external monitor via HDMI to DVI-D cable. running win10.
I've even tested reconnecting the cable back and forth the monitor and laptops.. everything was fine with Lenovo but with victus it's no signal..
any brilliant ideas to work around? I dont want to purchase a new monitor because of this issue. peripharals in my country is quite expensive..
Looking forwward to your reply. Thanks
Regards

That is the problem with your cable, you can connect DP (computer) to HDMI (monitor) but NOT another way around. All you need is to buy a bidirectional HDMI-DP cable.
Regards.

Sorry HDMI to DVI-D should work but the Dell monitor is a very old display. Have you tried to connect to a newer monitor ?
Regards.
